Description

On GSB64-current (2.22.1) installed on Slamd64-current (future 12.1)

Running this program as a normal user and choosing Slackware 12.1 as the system type, then changing the setting to ‘Manual’ crashes the program and the current session. Moreover, it changes the permissions of a number of files (see attached file for list of changed files).

Restoring executable permission to those files will undo most of the visible damage, as far as I can tell, except that Pulse Audio Device Chooser no longer works, giving the error:

  • (padevchooser:3087): WARNING **: pa_browser_new() failed.
